6 out of 10 While it’s hard to say anything bad about this film — I did enjoy it — I can’t sing its praises either. Certainly, a number of the characters were developed further, but in some cases, it felt like a watering-down. A slew of new characters were also introduced, but often only as poorly managed plot devices. I’m probably being blind to the previous outings’ failings, but this one just didn’t work for me. If there is to be a sequel (don’t let the subtitle fool you), it’ll need a really good story to resurrect the series properly.

7 out of 10 Pretty much a by-the-numbers spy romp – silly but entertaining. In other words, exactly what I’d expected and hoped for. Tom Cruise might be a bit of a dick in real life, but he does these films very well.
